The FrameBear recorder for Chrome.
It captures each screen you choose as real HTML, at desktop and phone size, while you stay signed in to your own product.
What it captures
- Captures the screen you're looking at, when you press Capture.
- Grabs both sizes in one press: your real HTML at desktop width and at phone width.
- Keeps open menus, dropdowns and modals exactly where you staged them.
- Scrolls a lazy-loading page to the bottom first, so nothing below the fold is blank.
- Shows a thumbnail of every screen you've grabbed, so you can see it worked.
- Removes anything you blur or redact before the capture is stored.
What it never does
- It never captures on its own. Every screen is one you pressed the button on.
- It never watches or records what you click between captures.
- It never sends your browsing history anywhere.
- It never runs on pages you didn't start it on.
Why Chrome shows a banner while you capture.
That banner is how the recorder captures the phone size without reloading your page. Reloading would close whatever you had open, so the demo would lose the menu or modal you staged. The banner clears when you finish capturing.
Installing it
Install from the Chrome Web Store, then press Connect in the popup. If you’re already signed in to FrameBear, that’s the whole setup: captures land straight in your workspace.
